Ingredients:
1 gram of Lamisil 1% cream contains: 10 mg terbinafine hydrochloride, equivalent to 8.8 mg terbinafine base.
Excipients: Purified water, Sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, Sorbitan stearate, Cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol (40mg/g), stearyl alcohol (40mg/g), Polysorbate 60, Isopropyl myristate.
Indication:
- Fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton (e.g. T. rubrum, T.mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T.violaceum), Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum, such as athlete’s foot, dhobie jock itch) and ringworm.
- Fungal skin disease on the feet.
+ Yeast infections of the skin, mainly caused by Candida fungi (such as Candida albicans).
+ Tinea versicolor is caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur).
Dosage:
- Adults and children 12 years and older.
- Apply Lamisil cream once or twice as prescribed.
Treatment duration and frequency
– Fungal skin disease on the feet.: 2 times/day for 2 weeks.
– Moist skin mycoses and round plaque mycoses: 1 time/day for 1 week.
– Candida fungus in the skin: 1 or 2 times/day for 1-2 weeks.
– Multi-colored skin fungus: 1 or 2 times/day for 2 weeks.
Clinical symptoms usually improve within a few days. Irregular use or premature discontinuation of treatment carries a risk of relapse. If there are no signs of improvement after 2 weeks, the patient should see a doctor.
Using:
- The affected skin area should be cleaned and dried thoroughly before applying Lamisil cream.
- You should apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin and surrounding areas and rub gently.
- In case of fungal infection in areas where the skin frequently rubs together (under the breasts, between the fingers, between the buttocks, groin), the application site can be covered with a piece of gauze, especially at night.
Use of Lamisil 1% cream to treat skin fungus:
- Pediatric group
Experience with the use of Lamisil cream in children under 12 years of age is limited, therefore use in this age group is not recommended.
- Elderly patients
There is no evidence that elderly patients require different doses or experience different side effects than younger patients.
Contraindicated:
Hypersensitivity to terbinafine or to any of the excipients listed in the LIST OF EXCEPTIONS section. Similiar Product:
